I ran across a nice way of measuring the temperature of the CPU chip on the Raspberry Pi:
Do this: $ cat >/usr/local/bin/temperature /opt/vc/bin/vcgencmd measure_temp $ chmod u+x /usr/local/bin/temperature Then you can do this: $ temperature temp=57.3'C

Arrived in Columbus, Ohio last night, returning from a three-week stay at the Beijing International Center for Mathematical Research — on the campus of Peking University. There I gave an intensive three-week course on Hodge Theory to a superb group of graduate and undergraduate students. Below is a photo of the guest house where I stayed. Snow on March 30!
